1. LOOK IT OVER
   Before you use your Vango Glacier Cooler, make sure that the gasket, hinges, and latches are unobstructed. Make sure the drain plug is completely tightened.
   
2. KEEP IT CLEAN
   After use and as needed, clean your Vango Glacier Cooler with a rag and mixture of mild soap and warm water. Make sure to clean areas prone to debris, like the gasket and drain plug assembly. A scrubbing brush helps with tougher stains.
   
   Store your Vango Glacier Cooler completely dry and closed.

1. PRE-CHILL COOLER AND CONTENTS
   This is an easy first step that makes a big difference. Use a bag of ice to cool down the temperature of the cooler itself. Once it's nice and cool to the touch, pour out all the ice and begin packing. For best results, make sure all food and drinks are already cold. For even better performance, food and water may be frozen.
   
2. USE THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF ICE
   We recommend the contents of the cooler are: two-thirds ice, one-third food/drink.
   
3. ACCESSORIES

4. KEEP YOUR COOLER CLOSED
   Never leave the cooler open when not in use, and don't leave it open while you decide what you are looking for. Reduce any airspace within the cooler by using towels if you don't have more ice.

ICE RETENTION EXPLAINED
On a lot of Vango cooler boxes, you will see reference to "ice retention", usually measured in a number of days. The way this figure is attained is by testing in controlled laboratory conditions. Each Vango cool box is filled with a fixed amount of ice, the lid is closed, and it is then placing it in a 90°F (~32°C) oven to simulate a warm outdoor environment. The cool box ice retention level is the amount of time that it takes for the ice to reach 39°F (~4.0°C) and begin to melt.
