Spire is a new generation shoe for, fast hiking. It adopts solutions that are part of La Sportiva’s mountain DNA combining technologies and concept derived from the Mountain Running and Mountain categories to create a versatile, waterproof and 360° breathable shoe thanks to the new GORE-TEX SURROUND® technology: the exclusive membrane that guarantees 360° breathability thanks to the wider aeration surface that comprises the uppers, footbed and EVA midsole with side ventilation outlets in TPU. The aeration channels visible along the profile of the midsole, are protected by an extremely resistant Nylon mono net, to prevent stones and other impurities from entering the ventilation outlets. The mid cut uppers use the Nano-Cells 2.0™ structure , super breathable cells that work in synergy with the GORE-TEX SURROUND® membrane to provide unprecedented levels of breathability. The lower part of the boot incorporates the Stability control System™, a stabilizing control system that integrates the ventilation outlets with the GORE-TEX SURROUND® technology. The Vibram XS Trek outsole provides excellent grip on hard, soft and muddy terrain. All round breathability and comfort is guaranteed.

GORE‑TEX SURROUND®: 360° Breathability & Durably Waterproof
GORE‑TEX SURROUND® product technology features a system where the entire foot is surrounded by GORE‑TEX technology. This includes the sole with various sole openings for 360° of improved moisture and heat transfer (This is important since 30% of the foot surface is the foot sole with a very high number of sweat glands). The breathable GORE-TEX SURROUND® laminate consists of an innovative membrane with carefully selected textiles.

La Sportiva was founded in 1928 by Narciso Delladio, who handcrafted wooden and leather boots for lumberjacks and farmers in the Fassa and Fiemme valleys of the Dolomites, Italy. After World War II, increased demand for boots prompted Narciso to hire additional workers, and the reputation of "Calzoleria Sportiva" spread beyond the local valleys. Building on this success, La Sportiva continued to grow and evolve.
